The Challenge

The topic of professional development for teachers is dry at best, and too often of low interest when stacked up against other educational reform priorities. While there is fairly broad agreement that producing better prepared teachers benefits everyone, there is less agreement around the most expedient and efficient process for accomplishing this.

THE SOLUTION

Instead of continuing to talk about teachers and what’s best for them by treating them as silent onlookers, n2o moved teachers to the center of the conversation. We eliminated the traditional industry jargon and spoke to what individual teachers can do to influence how their Districts reform professional development while shifting the conversation from traditional industry “convenings,” to a broader audience via the web and social media.

n2o’s role

n2o packaged and presented the case for teacher involvement with a direct response campaign (“From the front of the Classroom to the Center of the Conversation”) that included a background mail piece and call to action with supporting Facebook and Twitter components.
